US Open: Cognitive Photobooth
Watson on the tennis court
With the success of the Cognitive Photobooth project at the Cadillac House in Soho NYC and also at VivaTech in Paris, IBM decided to showcase this project again at the US Open in 2017. You can read more about the technical details of the first photobooth iteration here.
To streamline the experience even further, we build 4 smaller photobooths and a NodeJS registration system for people to book their conversations with Watson.
We also added Twilio integration so participants would receive a text message when it was their turn to talk to Watson. Much like the first iteration of this project, we're using Watson's Tone Analysis API and Speech to Text API to allow people the ability to speak with Watson.
After speaking with Watson, the photobooth would print a portrait that represented a personality analysis of the participant. Over the course of 2 weeks, we had over 4,000 visitors make portraits.
